Floor Lock

A floor lock allows you to create a stationary item from a mobile one, but does not interfere with movement when not in use. Primarily used in heavy duty applications on carts, platform trucks, and dollies.  Floor Locks are an independent mechanism that can be attached to an item. The floor lock works by pressing against the item and floor using spring compression that creates friction. A simple press of the foot is all it takes for most floor locks to engage. The floor lock does not “lift” the cart, platform truck, or dolly  but can create up to 100 pounds of force against the floor in some models which holds the item in place. This option is ideal for items that have casters with no or limited brake options due to swivel radius or capacity.
